Recently, New Matter CEO Steve Schell was honored with an invitation to become “Principal for a Day” at Hamilton Elementary School in our hometown of Pasadena, CA!
Steve had many duties as principal, including oversight of the flag raising ceremony, reading to the students, and lecturing about the importance of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) education.
He had a blast meeting and working with the students teachers and staff.
3D printers in the classroom present many wonderful and practical opportunities to foster student interest in a wide variety of disciplines. Subjects such as mathematics, robotics, computer programming, and creative design can all be made more interactive and exciting with the help of a 3D printer. In addition, 3D printing and design can also create opportunities for students to work together to solve complex problems and collaborate on creative projects!
A huge thank you to Hamilton Elementary staff, students, and parents for their hospitality!
