Hi MOD-t Enthusiasts,
My name is Madelyn and I am so excited to work with New Matter as their Social Media Intern for the summer! I am a rising senior at the University of California, Santa Barbara majoring in Biological Psychology. I was born and raised in Pasadena and I am back for the summer.
Here’s a little more about me
I am involved at UCSB as the Public Relations Vice President for my sorority, Gamma Phi Beta. I am also a part of a variety of other clubs including Dance Marathon at UCSB and Global Brigades. Dance Marathon raises money for Santa Barbara’s local children’s hospital, Cottage Children’s Medical Center. Global Brigades sends groups of university students to countries in Central America and West Africa to provide medical and dental care, perform public health projects and build clean water systems.
Back to New Matter
Growing up, my dad was very interested in the new gadgets and gizmos available. He would purchase every new piece of technology he could find. Back then, that consisted of the first edition of the iPhone or a high-tech remote control airplane. I always felt like, because of him, I was up to date on the new inventions and innovations of the tech world. But, I would have never imagined that the newest piece of technology available would be a 3D printer for your home. Maybe I’ll be able to play with the MOD-t before my dad!
Throughout this summer, I am excited to learn more about New Matter and the MOD-t and connect with you all through our various social media platforms to make sure you are all up to date with the happenings here at New Matter. I look forward to connecting with you all!
